My wife, Barbara, surprised me with a couple of primo filets from Ferguson's Meat Market in Cumming; awesome butcher shop. It was a fantastic Valentine's Day surprise. I decided to uncork a bottle of Chateau Montelena Cabernet Sauvignon, vintage 2006; expensive wine, but perfect for a special night. Below is an image of the empty bottle; the evidence if you will. You see Barbara and I are approaching our 30th anniversary, and despite my many faults, and she knows them all - trust me, she still loves me. What a lucky guy I am; enough said.
So, this was shot with a Nikon D3x and a new Nikkor 35mm f/1.4G AF-S, well it's been out since November, but it's new to me, that I absolutely love. This lens is rapidly becoming a real go to piece of glass. EXIF data, ISO 1600, f/1.4 at 1/100 sec. FYI, some of you may have seen the movie with Bill Pullman and Chris Pine entitled Bottle Shock. The Napa Valley vineyard that played such a prominent role in that movie was Chateau Montelena. If you have not seen the movie, and you are not French, you appreciate fine wine and have a couple of hours to kill - you should check it out. Great flick.
